Quartz stone is a mineral resource with very stable physical and chemical properties. Due to the high content of quartz, which is the main component of its board, it appears to have transparent or semi transparent particles. Artificial stone, on the other hand, is a composite material made from unsaturated polyester resin or methyl methacrylate as the matrix, natural mineral powder (aluminum hydroxide) as the filling material, pigments and other auxiliary agents added, and vacuum cast or vacuum molded. The main feature of this material is that it is porous and homogeneous, and can be made into a continuous tabletop that is difficult to detect joints.

Generally, the thickness of quartz stone is around 15 millimeters, while the thickness of artificial stone is around 11-12 millimeters.

Determined by the composition of both, the weight of quartz stone is heavier than that of artificial stone.

Quartz stone feels cooler like natural stone, while artificial stone feels warm and delicate, similar to high-end plastic.

The complexity of materials and processing depends on the price of quartz stone being more expensive than artificial stone, but it cannot be ruled out that some brands of artificial stone have complex manufacturing processes, aesthetic standards, and high cost.
6、 Hardness
Quartz stone has a higher hardness than artificial stone, so quartz stone is mostly chosen for use on kitchen countertops, while artificial stone is mostly chosen for use on bathroom countertops.
7、 Flexibility
Quartz stone is relatively hard, so it still cannot compare with artificial stone in terms of flexibility.
8、 Splicing method
Quartz stone splicing usually has gaps, while artificial stone can be curved due to its soft flexibility. Splicing is generally not visible at the seams, and of course, it excludes those installed by poorly crafted craftsmen.
