Terrazzo stone is mainly made of a mixture of materials such as cement, sand, stone, pigment and additives. Its core materials are cement and stone, among which the stone can be natural crushed stone, granite etc. Pigments and additives are used to adjust the color and performance of terrazzo stone.
Generally, terrazzo stone has a higher hardness, which can reach about 6-7 on the Mohs hardness. The hardness of marble stone is lower, usually between 3-4 on the Mohs hardness. Therefore, in terms of hardness, terrazzo stone is significantly better than marble stone.
If the material ratio is improper and the compaction is insufficient during the construction process, it will affect the overall quality of terrazzo stone and increase the risk of cracking. The service life of high-quality terrazzo stone can reach more than 30 years.
